A Prayer for Healing for Physical Sickness
“Heavenly Father, I thank You for loving me. I thank You for sending Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, to the world to save me and to set me free. I trust in Your power and grace that sustain and restore me.
Loving Father, touch me now with Your healing hands, for I believe that Your will is for me to be well in mind, body, soul, and spirit. Cover me with the Most Precious Blood of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, from the top of my head to the soles of my feet.
Cast anything out that should not be in me. Root out any unhealthy and abnormal cells. Open any blocked arteries or veins and rebuild and replenish any damaged areas. Remove all inflammation and cleanse any infection by the power of Jesus’ Precious Blood.
Let the fire of Your healing love pass through my entire body to heal and make new any diseased areas so that my body will function the way You created it to function.
Touch also my mind and my emotions, even in the deepest recesses of my heart. Saturate my entire being with Your presence, love, joy, and peace and draw me ever closer to You, every moment of my life.
And Father, fill me with Your Holy Spirit and empower me to do Your works so that my life will bring glory and honor to Your Holy Name. I ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.”
St Padre Pio
A Prayer for Healing for Emotional Pain
Including scripture in your prayer life is a brilliant way of aligning your heart with God’s. Here are three excerpts from the Word that can bring comfort and wisdom during times of emotional pain.
“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:14
“No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me, declares the Lord.” Isaiah 54:17
“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40: 28-31
Jesus I take a moment now to be still before you. I still my frantic thoughts and quiet my emotions and turn my heart to meet with you. Despite everything I face at the moment I come before you with gratitude; thank you that you fight for me. Thank you that you never give up on me and never abandon me. I ask you now to renew my strength and bring your comfort and peace to my soul.

Declaring Healing for Loved Ones
When our loved ones don’t have the energy or faith themselves we can declare healing on their behalf. Use a prayer like the one below and use your friend’s name as you pray.
“Lord, your Word speaks promises of healing and restoration and I thank you for the miracles you still perform today. Today I claim those promises over my friend. I believe in the healing power of faith and prayer and I ask you to begin your mighty work in the life of my friend. Please reach down and surround my friend with supernatural peace and strength and give her the faith to believe that all things are possible for you. Protect her from Satan’s lies and discouragement and let her miraculous healing begin. Amen.” Christianity.com
Raising Faith for Healing Prayers
There’s no overstating how difficult it is to focus on the goodness of God when you are fighting for your own, or a loved one’s health. Scripture is filled with promises of God’s protection, His kindness and His love, and these can be tough to hold onto when you’re in physical or emotional pain.
It’s in these times that raising your faith can be a lifeline. Reading testimonies of God’s healing power, and His kindness, helps shift our focus from the problem before us, to our great provider; Jesus. Raising your faith by reading healing testimonies, before praying for healing, is a brilliant discipline to introduce.
Matthew 9: 18-26 alone contains the incredible account of Jesus healing a woman of a blood disorder and the resurrection of a synagogue leader’s daughter.
While he was saying this, a synagogue leader came and knelt before him and said, “My daughter has just died. But come and put your hand on her, and she will live.”Jesus got up and went with him, and so did his disciples. Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.”
Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment. When Jesus entered the synagogue leader’s house and saw the noisy crowd and people playing pipes, he said, “Go away. The girl is not dead but asleep.” But they laughed at him. After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up. News of this spread through all that region.
