We’ve got a collection of encouraging Bible verses for those in need of some encouragement today. There’s nothing better for the soul than words of encouragement. Many things in life leave us feeling down in the dumps. It could be someone else’s unkind words or a personal failure. It may be a result of poor mental health; our faith can provide many other tools to help us with this, as we explored in a previous post. Whatever the reason, you’re not alone in sometimes feeling bad about yourself. But this is not how God wants us to feel. Thankfully, Christians who are feeling in need of encouragement have a great gift in the form of scripture. The Bible is full of encouraging verses and passages that can lift our spirits and help us fix our eyes on the good things we have in Christ.
There is a lot more to the Bible than handy devotionals for when we’re feeling down but it is still a great place to find words of encouragement. This is because the Bible is God’s word to us. He can and does speak to us through the pages of the Bible and we can see from the number of encouraging scriptures just how much He loves us. To know God is to know a protector, an advocate and a comforter. We know He wants to give us good things. In fact, He wants to give us God things. One of the greatest gifts He has given us is the Holy Spirit, who is always with us. One of the verses below talks about this. So next time you’re in need of encouraging Bible verses, rest assured that there are plenty to choose from. To help you find them we’ve created a list of some of them here.
All the verses below are taken from the NIV translation. We hope they help you.
