We have devotions with our patients every day. When I see suffering or when I see a patient's body wasting away and I see sickness taking over their body. It can be overwhelming at times, but 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 reminds me that even though all of our bodies will slowly stop working the way we want them to, God promises to restore them and one day He'll make all things new.
Where do I find my strength? I constantly have conversations with God. I don't just rely on one time prayer, I look for opportunities in every moment to just constantly be in conversation with God.
Sometimes the most precious thing you can give is your time. That is an amazing way you can serve others.
My faith is what motivates me to serve others. The more I get closer to Him, the more I get closer to his people.
My strength comes from Him and Him alone. His power is made perfect in my weakness.
Honoring the Great Commission is what gets me out of bed every morning. Getting to see the smiles on our patients faces as they are transformed really makes a difference and really continues even through the difficult seasons.
To stay connected to God. I do the same thing that I did at home. I devote my time, my time in the mornings to Bible study and prayer. The primary mainstay of my spiritual life is my morning devotionals.
I often think that prayer time is one of the first things that we can let go of, so I'm grateful that in this environment we're able to bring that into our daily routines, into our workplace, and make sure that it remains an active part of our life.
